New 2009 Gibson Flying V Custom in a beautiful Gunmetal Gray metallic finish. This finish appears as a very dark charcoal gray, almost black. It will appear as black in certain lighting. There is a hint of metallic flake in the finish. It is almost impossible to capture the stunning beauty of this finish with a camera - it must be seen to be fully appreciated. I can't emphasize this enough - this is an absolutely drop-dead gorgeous guitar. It features unaged nickel hardware.

This one weighs 7.5 pounds and is a joy to play with its fast neck and ebony fingerboard. Plugged in for testing, the '57 Classic pickups make this guitar sound amazing. A lot of punch and dynamics that you'd expect from a great V. Tall, polished frets combined with the smooth ebony fingerboard make string bending a breeze.

The Flying V Customs were originally produced in 2002 and made in very limited numbers. In the US, the finish colors were limited to black, white, faded cherry and tobacco sunburst. Black was a very limited edition (40 made) and will likely not be produced again.

Here is your opportunity to own a new 2009 Flying V Custom. These will be a VERY limited run. You will not see this finish color listed on Gibson's website as this is a very limited color. Only removed from box to photograph and play test.

This guitar features a one-piece, solid mahogany body, ebony fingerboard with block inlays, bound fingerboard, bound body, split-diamond headstock inlay, Grover tuners, nickel hardware, string-through tailpiece, '57 Classic pickups, diamond shaped jack plate and ABR-1 bridge.

This Flying V Custom is in a class by itself and will no doubt be collectible in the future. I personally would rather have one of these than a Zakk Wylde or Hendrix V, and I believe these will ultimately be worth more $ in the future. Buy it, impress your friends and rock out!

All Gibson Custom guitars feature Plek laser fret leveling.

Comes with unopened case candy, Gibson Custom case, certificate of authenticity, all hang tags and original shipping box, just like it left the Gibson Custom Shop. Switch tip located in small plastic bag inside the case compartment to guard against damage.

Note: The reflections seen in the images are due to photographic conditions are are not flaws in the finish. Switch tip located in case compartment to avoid shipping damage. This is an extremely difficult finish color to accurately capture with a camera. The guitar looks even more stunning in person!

Note - Accessory pack not shown, but is included and is unopened
